LINK G5 Voodoo Pro

The new G5 Voodoo Pro is LINK's latest ECU with more features and capabilities than previous models.

12 injection, 8 ignition and 4 multifunction (inj, ign, aux) outputs (24 total)

 

The G5 Voodoo Pro can work with up to:

12 cylinders or 6 rotors, with sequential injection and direct ignition, or 8 cylinders, with staged injection and direct spark.
"Staged" injection (with two individual injectors per cylinder) is ideal for applications that require a lot of fuel, such as high-performance drag vehicles, and is also becoming increasingly common in other motorsports and road traffic.

The G5 Voodoo Pro can be operated with “staged” intake manifold injection and direct injection (DI). The 24 outlets allow you to add additional injectors to a DI engine to deliver more fuel to meet your performance goals or to prevent deposits on the intake valves.

Remaining outputs can be used as additional outputs.
 

Built-in GPS


Link's high-precision, high-frequency GPS enables position, ground speed and UTC time to be recorded for data analysis at 50 times per second using Link's advanced GPS technology.

 

This can be used for coaching, especially in conjunction with a driver analysis tool like MyRaceLab. It can also be used when it comes to setting up features or functions related to position, real-time or GPS speed.

 

Link's GPS can also serve as a speed sensor for vehicles that do not have one, providing accurate driving speed, such as when driving. B. for some racing cars or boats. It can be used to easily calibrate wheel speed and compare wheel and ground speed to determine if there is tire slippage.

 

With Dead Reckoning, Link's GPS continues to calculate the position if the GPS connection is lost, e.g. B. in a tunnel, a garage or in dense forest.

 

Built-in WiFi, with real-time PC link connection


Built-in WiFi means you don't have to be connected to the ECU via cable, or be in the vehicle or on the same side of the pit wall to view logs and make changes. This means you no longer have to fight your way through the roll cage and rummage under the dashboard to find the ECU before trying to plug in the cable without breaking any pins.

Multiple G5 Voodoo Pro controllers can be set up on the same Wi-Fi network, allowing you to seamlessly switch between them.

 

Dual onboard E-throttle (Drive by Wire)

 

Achieve faster, more precise throttle response from up to two banks of a V-engine with dual E-throttle.

The G5 Voodoo Pro features fail-safe internal solid-state relays to disconnect the throttle, saving you the hassle and mess of wiring the throttle, making E-Throttle installation much easier.

 

Dual onboard digital wideband lambda controller

 

The dual lambda controllers built into the G5 Voodoo Pro allow you to see what each bank of a V-engine is doing, allowing for more precise tuning on each bank to keep your vehicle running optimally.

 

Dual microcontrollers


The G5 Voodoo Pro runs not one, but two microcontrollers for more computing power, with one responsible for the motor and the other for communication.

 

More auxilary outputs than G4X


The G5 Voodoo Pro has 14 to 30 auxiliary outputs (versus a maximum of 18 in the G4X), depending on how many injection and ignition outputs are used. This allows you to control even more functions such as fans, fuel pumps or a charge pressure regulator. These auxiliary outputs are from either free or unused E-throttle, lambda or injection/ignition outputs and are not connected to functional things such as an ignition switch. These auxiliaries include two H-Bridges and four outputs suitable for high-side drive. All outputs are PWM capable, and all regular auxilary outputs are now protected from feedback.

*30 are available when running a 4-cylinder sequencer without E-throttle or wideband lambda.

 

Link CAN files

 

Create your own separate CAN files with additional streams and channels that can be saved, locked and unlocked. The flexible CAN lock system hides your own CAN streams and gives the owner the ability to unlock the hidden file. The user can write a CAN stream and share the file without the receiver being able to see how it was written.

 

Seamless upgrade from G4X


The A and B connectors on the G4X and G5 Voodoo Pro are identical and have the same configuration (except for two pins), so you can plug a G5 ECU into a G4X wiring harness and get started straight away. With PC Link you can easily convert G4X tuning map files to a G5 version so that you can load a G4X map into a G5 ECU.
