This control unit fits into the factory OEM housing. Installation is a breeze and requires no modification to the factory wiring harness for the models listed below.

This product supports the following models:

  • 2007-2014 WRX and WRX STI with GR/GV/GH/GE chassis codes, for JDM/AUDM/SADM/EURO markets, with turbocharged EJ20 or EJ25 engines.
  • 2008-2010 USDM models that have the common international Denso ECU pinout**
  • 2015-2021 WRX STI with VAB/VAF chassis codes, for JDM/AUDM/SADM/EURO markets, with turbocharged EJ20 or EJ25 engines

The G4X has 512 MB of 32-bit integrated datalogging with up to 250 channels, each limited to 1000 Hz per channel (by the operating system), with a maximum combined 100 kSamples/s.


Important instructions

  • Please check that your plug matches the header in the photo before purchasing.
  • This control unit is only suitable for manual transmissions.
  • Air temperature sensor is highly recommended.
  • Most factory features are supported including DCCD, hill start assist, SI-Drive, cruise control, camshaft control and ABS.
  • Check the Features tab for I/O expansion options.
  • The security/immobilizer lamp may illuminate on some models.


Note: This plug-in has a new 4-pin powered CAN connector and cannot be connected using the old CANPCB cable. Use the CANJST4 cable (Link PN 101-0198) for connecting CAN devices. This new 4-pin connector and cable not only provides the CAN connection, but also a protected 12V power supply and ground for powering the CAN devices. The power supply is protected by a self-resetting fuse with a continuous rating of 3A.
