AiM memory key

The modern AIM Datalogger evo3, evo4 and the Dashlogger MXL can now save the data directly on the 32 MB external "memory key". This eliminates the need to take a laptop to the vehicle, as well as the cumbersome fiddling with the USB cable during a pit stop, because this memory stick is removed from the logger in the vehicle for data download and plugged directly into the USB port of the PC. Against the background of the civil war-like conditions in the pit lane at 24-hour races a real blessing for every data technician.

 Especially in long-distance races and events where several drivers share a vehicle, it is now a very convenient, quick and reliable act to transfer the data from the vehicle to the PC, because every driver now has "his" memory key. And it is swapped when the driver changes. But it is also ingenious for brand classes to save the data for the series operator: he simply collects all the memory keys at Park Ferme and no longer has to walk from car to car with his laptop in wind and weather.

 However, the biggest advantage of the Memory Key is its low price. Quite apart from the ingenious type of memory expansion (nothing is screwed on or installed) there are also no side effects in the form of defective memory card devices or chargeable activation. After updating the firmware, even the oldest MXLs can save to the memory key.
